Obama's Speech and McCain's Pick

So I watched the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and thought Obama did a great job on his speech. His writers did an excellent job, while he showed his talents as an orator. I don't know what McCain is going to say or how he plans to deliver his speech to top that.

Speaking of McCain... poor ol' Grampa McCain. Could do nothing but Gamble with the Nation and his presidential campaign by picking Governor Palin as his VP running mate. After blasting Obama on his lack of experience, he decides to go with a woman a few years younger than Obama (and McCains own children). All to get the headlines.

Chosing Gov. Palin is clearly a stunt to try and steal the Hillary Vote. A sad act when you think about it... because he has become so desperate for attention and a counter measure to the Obama campaign that he will "go for broke" by chosing a person his party never saw coming.

With McCain's age... I honestly think that Palin is closer to becoming a President than Hillary is... which is a sad truth. Because I would rather have Hillary as the first woman President than some Governor who oversees Oil Companies, Seals, and a population smaller than a California Town.

Palin being VP or even President is a scary thought... especially with the conflict around the world today. I really don't think she has the Foreign/Diplomatic experience to handle world leaders. At least Obamas came from Chicago and Hawaii.... he grew up amongst diverse cultures and ethnicities.... His constituents probably outnumber the whole population of Alaska.

In either case, I would prefer to have Joe Biden as the next in line for President... than Gov. Palin of Alaska... nice try Mr. McCain. I have faith that Hillary Supporters are more educated and not so ignorant as to vote for McCain just because his VP is a woman.

UPDATE: Apparently "Scholars" are questioning McCain's VP choice too. I found out Palin is not the first woman to be chosen as a VP running mate. She is also the least experience in HISTORY. At least Obama has State Senate Experience before joining the US Senate. Palin has none... continue reading on this article "Scholars Question Palin Credentials."
